Yes, you can customize any of the System Templates that My School Books uses to send out emails for things like:

  • Event Reminders
  • Invoices
  • Lessons Notes
  • And much more

To get started customizing your emails templates:

1. Log into your My School Books account.
2. Click on “Settings” in the top right corner and select “School Settings” from the drop down menu.
3. Click on the “Email & SMS” tab. All of My School Books system email templates are located on the right hand side of the screen under the heading “System Templates“.

4. To edit any of the email templates click on the “Edit” button (blue pencil icon) to the left of the template name and make any changes necessary.

5. Preview your changes by clicking the “Preview” button and “Save” your changes.

Attention: It’s important to note the text that appears between the % symbols (%FirstName%) are what My School Books refers to as “Placeholders”.  When an email is sent, these placeholder are what customizes the email to each individual student. Using the %FirstName% placeholder will customize the message with the first name of each student.

My School Books also gives you the ability to add many other optional placeholders to your emails. These can be accessed by clicking on the “Placeholders” drop down menu found on the email template bar editor.
